About this Event
We like you! We really, really like you! With the busy year we've had, we get lots of requests for farm tours and generally we just don't have the capacity to set these up. So, we decided to hold one big shindig and open up the fungal farm doors to all of our friends, customers, supporters, and friends-we-haven't-met-yet. Admission is free and we'll have farm tours, log inoculation demos, vegetarian lions mane "crab" cake sandwiches cooking on the flat-top ($8/plate) with Chaga tea or the drink of your choice ($2).
Note - an admission ticket is not required but it sure does help us with planning. Please follow the registration link below to secure your free ticket.
While supplies last we'll have fresh mushrooms, frozen "crab"cakes, and our Sweet and Mild, Sassy Sesame, and Smoked Mollases mushroom jerkys available to purchase. We'll have a limited amount of spawn available for making your own shiitake, oyster, or lions mane logs at home. Sorry- we don't have any inoculated logs for sale yet this year, but consider signing up for our log classes starting in November and ongoing through April 2020.
Stop by, say hello, check out the farm, tell us your favorite mushroom jokes or let us tell you ours (our staff is sick of hearing them but they still make us giggle!).
Available throughout the day:
Meal Stand: Lion's Mane Crabcake sandwiches available throughout the event unless/until we run out
Explore the Soil Microbiome: - see the amoebae, nematodes, protozoa, and fungal hyphae of our spent substrate vermicompost. A projector will cast our microscope imaging to display the abundant life in healthy soil. Did somebody say "Flagella"? That's when you know there's a party! PS - seriously though, it is really cool to see these little guys in action
