As North Carolina’s largest mushroom farm, we’re led by first-generation farmers committed to sustainable practices, care for the land, and strengthening our local food system by producing nutrient-rich food that supports both people and planet.

What You’ll Experience:

• See how a backyard experiment became a thriving farm.
  Learn how two first-generation farmers built a modular farm, scaling from a small home setup to a high-impact operation producing over 50,000 pounds of mushrooms each year—with more expansion planned for 2025.

• Explore the full lifecycle of a mushroom.
  From substrate to harvest, you’ll walk through each stage of cultivation. We’ll share how we source materials from local soy and lumber byproducts and maintain ideal conditions in our climate-controlled rooms to support healthy, flavorful mushrooms.

• Taste the difference.
  Sample our national award-winning oyster mushroom jerky—a savory, shelf-stable way to enjoy more mushrooms, even on the go.

This 45-minute tour is educational, inspiring, and family-friendly. Kids 16 and under can join for free with an adult.

Larger groups would need to be structured into sessions.  We can provide a high quality tour experience for up to 50 participants per hour.

We can customize our tours to your groups learning needs. Tours can be customized by:

👧🏻 👨🏽 👵🏼 - Age groups & mobility. We can limit walking, standing, stair use, etc. We have a fast-paced, sensory focused tour just for kids, and can adjust focuses to match particular curriculum interests for different aged school groups or special interest clubs.

🤓 🥳 - How deep is the dive? Our standard tour is a balance between a science-lovers deep-dive and a fast and fun farm tour - but we can dial it up or down according to your groups preferences.

🌱👩‍💼🏢 - Special interest focus. We have customized tours to talk about our entrepreneurial journey, speak to aspiring farmers or homesteaders, or address the special interests of garden groups, extension, economic development teams, and more. Let us know!
