11/15/25 Growing Mushrooms on Logs and Straw

Whether you want to add fungi to your farm operation, increase existing mushroom production, or simply want to learn to grow your own, this comprehensive workshop teaches hands-on inoculation using straw and logs. Attendees will tour our growing rooms and on-site fungi facilities to learn about commercial-scale production on supplemented sawdust substrate, then learn about the necessary equipment and perform the steps of inoculating straw bags and logs. Each participant will go home with their log, straw bag, and a colonized sawdust block that is either ready to fruit or ready to inoculate logs and straw. The session concludes with samples of value-added mushroom delights, a chance to shop our farm store, and a catered lunch!
